I leased this car 2 years ago because it was cheap, good on gas, has good safety ratings, and Honda is the leader in reliability. I traded in a BMW 3 series because the repairs on the BMW were AWFUL - frequent and expensive. Except for the BMW acceleration and handling, I like the Honda better in every way. It has no rattles, no check engine lights, and no problems of any sort in 2 years. On long trips I get over 40mpg (non-hybrid) on regular gas at 75mph with the air conditioning blasting. It's comfortable as long as you're not 6'5" tall. I'm actually buying it before the lease is up and just keeping the car.
Favorite features: Mine doesn't have any super fancy "features" per say, but I like the dash with the elevated digital speedometer. It's easy to read without taking your eyes off the dash. I had a remote starter put in for the cold weather, a very good investment. The reliability is the best "feature". You just turn the key, it starts every time, and it drives well wherever you go. Nothing but oil changes and tire rotations after 26,000 miles. I'm very happy with the gas mileage.
Suggested improvements: The acceleration leaves a little to be desired, but you can't have great acceleration in a car that gets great gas mileage and is reliable. When passing at 80mph or merging onto a highway, if you floor it the engine revs and you get enough acceleration but the engine sounds like it's really giving all it has. But for most normal people, it's perfectly fine. The road noise on poor pavement (highways that haven't been paved in a while) is LOUD. A little extra sound insulation would make a big difference. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

I've owned my Civic EX for almost 2 years now and I'm still thrilled to drive it every day. Even though it's only a 4cyl it's quite the zippy little car. The interior is roomy, features are located within easy reach and the USB port is a nice touch. It's a Civic, so of course it's great on gas. It's quality built and very reliable. If your looking for a car that is practical, safe and has exceptional resale value-this is it!!

This is my 2nd Honda Civic, and what a huge improvement over 10-yrs. Its larger, safer, just as reliable, better fuel economy & this time I went for the EX Trim vs the LX last time. The EX sedan is a very nice sedan and offers many great features as standard. The only option I wished I would have gotten was remote start. That is my only regret, so in other words, you can NOT go wrong with a New/CPO/Used Honda Civic EX sedan.
Favorite features: My #1 feature must be the exterior design, followed by a well executed interior design. The fuel economy is so great I couldn't justify the added expense or the hybrid, besides the hybrid does not have the sporty alloy wheels, nor the power moonroof. I love my civic EX, and the number of safety features are superior. Side air bags, head airbags, side curtain airbags, rear seat side head curtain airbags. A multi 6-disc CD player as std equipment. I will not wait 10-yrs again, for next I will be ordering a new Accord, as its always been a car of desire since 1984. I wish to share another feature, the ability to change volume, radio stations, CD track all from steering wheel, so eyes on road !
Suggested improvements: Its a bit challenging to see the nose of the civic when parking, and the remedy I found after a year of ownership was to add a bug deflector which alloys me to view the front of my civic better thus not having to park aways away to prevent scuffing bumper. The manual driver's seat adjustment for up & down could be improved and made to be electric, and heated cloth seats would be a nice added feature to have as standard on EX & EX-L trim levels plus on the Si sport model.
